In part 2 I cover rush down, zoning, the hybrid approach, the pros & cons of using her in each postion & the assists I would recommend if building a team around Amaterasu.

As stated in the video get those weapon change cancels down, as it makes Ammy a terror to fight offensively & defensively. It is also a very safe special making it one of Ammy's best overall moves.

When playing rush down with Ammy the general idea is to keep the opponent in one place & mix them up as much as possible, while throwing in grabs to keep them from blocking everything. If your attacks are being pushblocked switch to the Rosary to keep long range pressure & to make space, or switch to the Glaive to use Glaive Stab, & Thunder Edge to get back in their face. Converting air-to-ground combos is one important thing with Ammy because if your offense is done right your opponent will be scared to stay on the ground & that's your chance to convert air-to-ground, even if it's low damage. Take advantage of every hard knockdown because you want to mixup opponents as they get up.

When zoning with Ammy keep as much distance as possible, you don't want them getting close. Try to have one Power Slash out as they act as 'barriers' your opponent has to go through to get to you. Playing defensive also means converting your combos into the cold star L as much as possible, as distance is gained, making it even harder for opponents to get in. With Ammy's strong zoning, your opponent will be icthing for a way to get in & this is where the Solar Flare counters come in. Predicting long range high, mid, or lows moves can work in your advantage as converting Ammy's zoning into combos is important, it makes opponents scared to do anything at a distance.

In the Hybrid approach you want to do a combination of both. Using the Rosary's Cold Star when your offense is blocked helps the hybrid playstyle as they can be used to zone, lockdown, & open up opponents at a distance. Using the Solar Flare when approaching opponents is a very strong strategy as you can have a defensive rush down & as a bonus opponents will be scared to press buttons when Ammy approaches. When Glavie Stab is pushblocked switch to the Rosary & do the j.h as it makes distance & you can switch to a different weapon.

The main advantage when playing as Ammy is that she has access to all of her moves & can get them by switching weapons. If you can use all weapons at the right place & time she becomes a lethal character, however, using all 3 weapons requires knowledge of all of her moves & how the opponent will react to them. If you can find these situations & find ways around your opponents strategy or keep them from getting to their strategy she becomes lethal. Also using her air dash after using her Glaive Stab is a great way to approach.

The best part about Ammy is there is no wrong way to play with her as she is a jack of all trades, master of all trades type character. As an assist Cold star is the best lockdown. Her THC is a very strong lockdown that can be converted off of. Her DHC's are very versatile, comboing off of everything. Her lvl 3 xfactor has a Glaive infinite making her a strong anchor. She has a TAC infinite. She is a very independent character that can be used without assists. She has her weaknesses ( low health, low damage air-to-ground combos, bad air playstyle, high learning curve), but her pros overwhelm her cons. So if you use Ammy don't give up on her & if you want to use her I hope this part helped all of you veiwers.
