A freshman lawmaker in Congress is helping to create her own caucus in the U.S. House. Representative Kat Cammack of Florida is joining with another Republican, Jim Jordan of Ohio to form the Campus Free Speech Caucus. The Campus Free Speech Caucus aims to educate lawmakers about what they call "attacks on free speech" on college campuses. The group is partnering with Young America's Foundation (YAF). Representative Cammack says she is partnering with Congressman Jordan to learn about the latest attacks on free speech, information she plans to share with fellow members of Congress. Congressman Jordan, who is also the founding member of the Conservative House Freedom Caucus says, "The group will set the precedent in holding liberal institutions accountable for their continued censorship of conservative viewpoints." Cammack points out that the First Amendment is under attack at colleges across the country. YAF says the caucus is an important next step in ensuring America's leaders understand the fight at hand.
