In one of the most thrilling championship games in GHSA history, Bainbridge stunned Warner Robins 47-41 in triple overtime to win its first state title since 1982. The Bearcats exploded for three touchdowns in just 1:20 of game time to take a 28-0 lead, including a 25-yard punt return TD by Anthony Brooks, a 32-yard pick-six by Bryce Worthy, and a 24-yard halfback pass TD from Caleb McDowell to Aaron Spivey. Warner Robins mounted an incredible rally, scoring 28 unanswered to tie the game, including a 4-yard TD run from Jahlen Rutherford. After a back-and-forth battle through overtime, Bainbridge QB Quayde Hawkins sealed the title with a 7-yard TD run in the third OT.
