Our MCs arrive in another town, that Frieren once visited with Himmel, and I notice she lingers watching a clock tower. This place seems familiar to her, and I later learned it why. There is tension brewing between Fern and Stark. Something has set Fern off, and feelings were hurt. This episode shows that Fern does expect some recognition for certain things and displays a bit of childishness. Sein and Frieren act very maturely and help foster a breakthrough in communication between the younger two.

As the episode unfolds, I see touching moments of understanding, including a scene involving a lost ring recognizing, or appreciating others.

I like how later in the episode Fern doesn't let Stark say anything self-depreciating.

I also really enjoy Sein’s presence—he’s so chill and down-to-earth. He’s not a perfect adult, but he shows up when it counts.

This episode has me feeling emotional, curious, and very invested in where these character dynamics are going.
