A gin and tonic is one of the most popular drinks to order at the bar, but with so many different varieties to choose from, it's hard to know which one tastes best.Now a panel of experts at Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) have conducted a blind taste test to find out once and for all which is the best gin.The winner is a £23 mid-range spiced gin, with the test showing that sometimes you truly do get what you pay for as only one of the top six costs less than £20.Opihr's £23 Oriental Spiced London Dry Gin took the crown for the best-tasting gin, with the GHI judges giving it a score of 84/100.They described it as 'a cardamom explosion, with fabulous ginger, orange zest and aromatic, sweet spice notes'.The second best gin is a £20 own-brand creation from Sainsbury's called Drury 173 Craft Gin - the only supermarket gin to reach the top six.
