The Makisode Modified Alpine Crochet Stitch Tutorials

Описание: The Alpine stitch is a 4-row repeat pattern where rows of front post double crochet stitches are alternated with rows of single crochet stitches to create a beautiful textured diamond shape pattern on one side and a flat defined pattern on the other side.

We have modified it a bit and are certain that we are not the only ones who have done this.

In our video, we worked a 2-row repeat pattern where rows of front post double crochet stitches alternated by normal double crochet stitches are then alternated with rows of back post double crochets alternated with double crochet stitches.

This creates a more textured albeit beautiful look and feel than the normal alpine stitch pattern on one side and an equally differently textured pattern on the other side.

This stitch works great for blankets, sweaters, really thick socks, bags etc. If you seek a super textured and thick outcome, this modified alpine stitch is one to consider.
