Glow sticks are not just handy for '90s ravers, they can be used for awesome art! Join Anthony and Tara as they dissect glow sticks to make a giant pixel art image of Ms. Pac-Man and study chemiluminescence!

Experiment Tips:
-Use wire cutters to carefully open the glow sticks
-Wear gloves and goggles as the glass can be dangerous
-Properly dispose of chemicals and recycle the plastic petri dishes

The first glow sticks were patented by the US Navy in the 1970s, but back then, they were called ""Chemiluminescent Signal Devices."" Today, glow sticks are still used by the military, emergency services, campers, divers and more.
