When I first reviewed the Aurora Mk II, I was pleasantly surprised. It was a huge step forward compared to the original Aurora, but it was still, at its core, a starter ship. So with Star Citizen Alpha 4.9 introducing component crafting, I decided to answer one simple question:

How far can you push the cheapest starter ship in the game?

To find out, I travelled across Stanton, Pyro and Nyx, gathering high-quality Stilleron, Lindinium, Savrilium and Gold before crafting the best possible components. The result? A fully upgraded Aurora Mk II with 18 power pips, enhanced FR-66 shields, and four NDB-28 neutron repeaters, delivering more pilot-controlled sustained DPS than a solo Cutlass Black!

But statistics only tell part of the story.

Can this tiny ship survive real combat? Can it defeat a Freelancer MIS? And what happens when it comes face to face with a Valkyrie?
