On July 5th 1948, the new National Health Service started, providing hospital and specialist services, medicines, drugs and appliances, care of the teeth & eyes, and maternity services.
People say that one of the things they are most proud of in Britain is the NHS.
For 75 years, the NHS has been there for us, cradle to grave. Treating 1.3 million people a day. A source of pride, gratitude and love. That cares for us no matter what.
