Описание: Las torres vigías o atalayas de Priego de Córdoba son un conjunto de torres medievales ubicadas en el término municipal de Priego de Córdoba, España, que fueron construidas entre 1332 y 1341 por los nazaríes, entre la conquista cristiana de Fernando III el Santo en 1225 y la definitiva de Alfonso XI el Justiciero en 1341.
Su finalidad era proteger a la villa de Priego de Córdoba, que se encontraba en el límite entre la Corona de Castilla y el Reino nazarí de Granada. Albergaban contacto visual entre ellas y con el castillo de Priego para dar la voz de alarma en caso de ataque con señales de fuego y humo, de hecho, continuaron utilizándose por los castellanos hasta la finalización de la Guerra de Granada.1​ En algunos casos también fueron utilizadas durante la Guerra civil española como puestos de vigilancia.

The watchtowers or watchtowers of Priego de Córdoba are a set of medieval towers located in the municipality of Priego de Córdoba, Spain, which were built between 1332 and 1341 by the Nasrid, between the Christian conquest of Fernando III el Santo in 1225 and the definitive one of Alfonso XI the Justiciero in 1341.
Its purpose was to protect the town of Priego de Córdoba, which was on the border between the Crown of Castile and the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. They harbored visual contact with each other and with the castle of Priego to raise the alarm in the event of an attack with fire and smoke signals; in fact, they continued to be used by the Castilians until the end of the Granada War.1 In some cases they were also used during the Spanish Civil War as guard posts.
