VIDEO PRESENTATION :

For this new video, as promised, we’re staying in Campbeltown for a (I believe rare) comparison between 4 different bottlings of the iconic SPRINGBANK 10 years old Campbeltown Single Malt Whisky, plus a few words about other batches of the 10 yo, again reduced to 46 % abv. Then, as a bonus, because I am also celebrating my 20th Anniversary of tasting & buying Springbank bottles (& 71 Springbank versions tasted, 88 if you count Hazelburn & Longrow), I will review a rare year 2004 « 100 Proof » version of the 10 yo…

As I already did a long presentation of the distillery in my video about Hazelburn & Springbank both 9 yo & both Barolo finished, I will not present the distillery except for a quick few words, and get quickly to the tastings. 23:08 -SPRINGBANK 10 yo OB/Cream label, bottled in the early 2000s, non-chill fitered, non coloured, 46 % : This one is a version with a back label, Bourbon cask driven, but possibly with some Rum casks involved too...Here it is sampled in an official bottling mini, this is all what is left of my full bottle.../ Bottle presentation

28:09 -SPRINGBANK 10 yo OB/Cream label, same  (Tasting it neat, then diluted)

32:06 -SPRINGBANK 10 yo OB/Cream label, bottled in the early 2000s, but before 2004 for sure (hence the Glengyle cask offer leaflet in the box), non-chill filtered, natural color & 46 % abv. This one is a version of the 10 yo without back label, so it is a bit more sherried than the one with back label, most probably a Refill Sherry profile./ Bottle Presentation

Bonus tasting :
