Mohun Bagan, formed in 1889 in Kolkata, India, is one of the oldest existing football clubs in the world having one of the largest fanbases. The Mohun Bagan Club Anthem commemorates their 1911 IFA Shield Victory beating European teams, becoming the first Indian club to do so.
Mohun Bagan along with East Bengal competes in the Kolkata Derby which is one of the oldest and fiercest rivalries in world football and listed in Top 50 Greatest Football Rivalries in the World by FIFA (World Football Governing Body).
