Hi Everyone, It's the Hungry Curator here, and today I'm showing you the best kept secret at Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. When you are walking around Oracle Park during a home game, you will see a walk-through metal detector with staff. You can ask to go in, or you may need to wait in line briefly, but it tends to move quickly. Go through security and take everything out of your pockets, like your phone/keys. (They hung onto my pepper spray until I was ready to leave.)
Then you'll enter a small viewing space where you can watch the game for free. You do need to watch through the chain link fence, but in this way you can catch the game and not have to commit to watching the entire game-- you can just come and go as you please! You'll be right behind center field.
