Lin'an Road is the central axis and main road of Jianshui Ancient City, connecting the east and west gates, with a total length of about 1.5 kilometers. The road is paved with bluestone slabs that have been passed down for thousands of years, and is known as the "first ancient street in southern Yunnan". Here, there are not only heavy historical relics such as Jianshui Confucian Temple, academic and political examination shed, Lin'an Prefecture Office, Zhujia Garden, but also street fireworks selling tofu and water. It is the best place to experience the "living ancient city".
The best way to open it is to enter from the east gate and walk all the way to the west gate, where you can visit the famous ancient buildings on both sides of the road. Then, go all the way out of the west gate and visit the famous ancient wells and Jianshui Tofu Shop.
