In this video, join us for a complete day journey at Puri Jagannath Temple, Odisha — one of India’s holiest Char Dham pilgrimage sites. 🌸

Our day began early morning as we visited the sacred Jagannath Temple to offer worship to Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra & Subhadra. From our hotel, we took a Toto ride (₹150) to the Dakshin Dwar (South Gate). With the help of our Panda (temple guide), we had a quick darshan inside the temple, avoiding the long lines.

After a peaceful darshan and puja, we explored the temple complex, including small shrines and the famous Jagannath Temple Kitchen, where the divine Maha Bhog is prepared (entry fee ₹10). We also did Mandir Parikrama and exited from the Singha Dwar (North Gate).

🌿 Later, we enjoyed a South Indian breakfast (Dosa & Idli) near the temple and returned to our hotel for a relaxing sea bath at Puri Beach, followed by swimming pool fun at our resort.
In the evening, we explored the Swargadwar Market, tasted sweets from Nrusingha Sweets, bought Khaja from Original Ganguram, and enjoyed a local cultural event & Laxmi Devi idol immersion.

🌙 The day ended with a peaceful dinner and relaxed moments at the hotel’s rooftop lounge.

📖 About Jagannath Temple (History & Facts):

The Jagannath Temple in Puri is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Vishnu. It was originally built by King Indradyumna and later rebuilt in the 11th century by King Anantavarman Chodaganga of the Eastern Ganga dynasty.
This temple is world-famous for its Ratha Yatra (Chariot Festival), during which the idols of Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra are taken out on grand wooden chariots.
Unlike other temples, the idols here are made from sacred neem wood (Daru) and replaced every 12 to 19 years.
