However, some eligible weavers have not received the amount due to technical and bank account-related issues. Andhra Pradesh Minister Savitha has assured them that there is no need to worry. She stated that the government is committed to providing financial assistance to every eligible handloom worker. According to the minister, bank account-related issues of beneficiaries who missed the payment due to technical reasons will be resolved, and the ₹25,000 assistance will be deposited into their accounts by August 20. The minister also urged beneficiaries to contact the Handlooms and Textiles Department officials if they have any doubts or concerns. She advised people not to believe false information or rumors circulating on social media and assured that all eligible beneficiaries will receive the promised assistance. So far, 71,536 handloom workers in Andhra Pradesh have received ₹25,000 each under the scheme. Additionally, 13,678 new applications have been received, and the verification process is currently underway. Once verification is completed, eligible new beneficiaries will also receive the financial assistance. To qualify for the “Nethanna Sevalo” scheme, the applicant must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh and must be registered as a member of a handloom association or a handloom cooperative society. The government’s latest announcement is expected to provide significant relief to eligible weavers who were waiting for the financial assistance due to technical issues.
