Teen Titans Go has been running for over 12 years at this point and despite outliving the original 2003 series and having public opinion be swayed greatly since its premiere - the cartoon is clearly still stuck in the past. A recent season 9 episode "Freak Show" sees Control Freak force Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven and Starfire to watch episodes of the 03 show in the hopes of getting them to act like their previous iterations.

If that sounds familiar, it's because the show did the exact same thing in 2015 with the episode "The Fourth Wall" alongside many episodes that poke fun at themselves while being compared to what came before. It's exhausting as you'd think they got everything out of their system with Teen Titans Go to the Movies and Teen Titans Go vs the Teen Titans film - yet here we are all these years later. Is this a sign that the show needs to finally wrap up and let a new reboot take over? Let's talk about it!
