Brown left the room to get beats for the girls and McCall began playing his own beat CD for those in the studio. Brown heard the beat and immediately wanted to write to the track, with Brown, Tank and BJ The Chicago Kid working on the melodies. Once Brown realized McCall produced the song, he wanted to continue collaborating, which eventually led to Brown signing the Watts singer/songwriter.
