This video contains four matches I had with the recently released LV1 Crossbone Gundam X-1 Kai on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 750 cost general with incredible aerial mobility, a very small hitbox, ridiculous melee damage, a very strong power-up mode, a boost fire capable ranged melee weapon, great stagger game in general alongside excellent overall mobility. It is fairly well rounded, but it can't deal quite as much ranged DPS as the F91 can. A lot of the information here is based on guesstimates since I haven't had time for in-depth testing. Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 2800 (1900x2) power, 8 ammo, 4.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 1 second focus time, 300m range and 20% (65%x2) stagger value. The uncharged mode has modest performance. The charged mode instantly staggers and has good stagger accumulation. It can be fired when boosting forwards while Max Performance (K) is active.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam cutlass with 3300 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 70% combo modifier and 140% (120%x2) downswing modifier. This deals great damage with two hit combos normally, but it becomes much more powerful when Max Performance (K) activates. In this mode, it pierces through enemy shields and buffers, on top of gaining a new downswing animation. It benefits from LV2 Aerial Melee.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan gun with 170 power, 40 ammo, 450 RPM, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 1275 DPS and 8% stagger value. This has decent DPS and can stagger regular enemies in about 1.7 seconds.
Its second sub weapon is a grenade launcher with 2600 power, 1 ammo, 8 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 80% stagger value. This deals high damage and has a large splash damage radius. It can be fired when boosting forwards while Max Performance (K) is active.
Its third sub weapon is a screw whip with 500 power, 5 seconds cooldown and 0.5 seconds swap time. It is tricky to test the modifiers for this weapon, so I have left them out. It uses a Gouf-like moveset and can combo swing, each swing knocks enemies over. It can deal very high damage. It deals more damage based on how much HP your target has remaining.
Its fourth sub weapon is a thrown brand marker with 3000 power, 1 ammo, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time and 200m range. This has short range, but it can be thrown while boosting. Since it counts as a melee weapon, it can ignore Maneuver Armor.
Its fifth sub weapon is a chest beam gun with 350 power, 8% heat, ??? RPM, 13 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 20% stagger value. This can stagger very quickly, but its ASL radius makes it unreliable against enemies boosting around in the air.
Its sixth sub weapon is a beam shield with 6000 HP, 3000 power, 15 seconds overheat time and 0.33 seconds swap time. Equipping this will deploy your beam shield, it works like a regular shield and can block damage. If broken, it will become overheated. You can swing it like a melee weapon too, this has very short reach but does 3000 damage regardless of resistance, if you hit an enemy mid melee animation with it, they will be knocked over. Furthermore, incoming damage that hits the beam shield is reduced by 30%.
The LV1 X-1 Kai has 25000 HP, 25 ballistic resist, 24 beam resist and 35 melee resist. It lacks any defensive buffers, but is still a little bit more durable than other miniature MS. It can still get taken out very quickly if caught out of position though. It has LV1 Damage Control, LV3 Emergency Evasion, LV1 Maneuver Armor and LV2 Offence System for defensive skills.
In terms of mobility it has 150 walking speed, 235 boost speed, 85 thrust and 84 turning speed. It is incredibly fast, but it becomes even faster once Max Performance (K) activates.. It has LV4 Forced Injector, LV4 Flight Control and LV2 Flap Booster for mobility boosting skills.
It has access to a new skill called LV1 Max Performance (K). After you have dealt about 8000 melee damage, you can activate it with the touchpad. It lasts for 60 seconds and grants improved melee damage, boost fire for some weapons, a buff for the beam zanber, improved boosting speed, improved thrust efficiency, improved strafing speed and ranged attack resistance while swinging melee. It has a 10 seconds long cooldown time.
In conclusion, I feel that the X-1 Kai is very strong, maybe too strong. It feels like an absolute beast if you can handle it, it can just rush you down and melee you to death fast if you aren't ready for it. I think it should have dropped without Damage Control though, it feels like they designed it to obsolete the F91 in that respect, the charged VSBRs aren't enough to shoot down the X-1.
