We Talk: Lao youth on China-Laos rail links and closer connections

Описание: General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith arrived in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, on June 2 for a five-day state visit.

As 2026 marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Laos, and the Year of China-Laos Friendship, a CGTN stringer in Vientiane interviewed young locals about their impressions of China and their views on China-Lao cooperation projects.

A graduate named Poupe recalled a visit she made to China when she was younger. Newton, a freelancer, said he takes the China-Laos Railway home almost every year. Bank Thanasoud, a college student, said he hopes that cooperation between the two countries continues to develop, creating more opportunities for Lao and Chinese people to interact and build closer ties.
