Cannabis Benchmarks U.S. Spot Index Report for October 4, 2024
The U.S. Spot Index increased 0.6% to $956 per pound this week.
Both indoor grown flower and outdoor grown flower prices in Massachusetts saw large declines this week. Prices for bulk transactions of indoor flower fell 7.8%, while prepackaged indoor flower transactions lost 5.1%.
Wholesale cannabis prices in Michigan were on the rise this week, with all grow types seeing increased average prices pushing the Michigan Cannabis Spot Index up 4.1% per pound. The state composite price has now reached a level last seen in early August.
Small increases in the average prices for greenhouse and outdoor grown flower in Oregon resulted in the Oregon Cannabis Spot Index seeing a 3.9% per pound increase this week. The state composite price is now at a level last seen in the early weeks of July.
Outdoor grown flower prices in Oregon are down 24% since the opening week of 2024 and greenhouse grown flower prices are down an astonishing 47% in the same timeframe.
