Welcome to the Easton Homestead! Today’s video is a quick tutorial on how we made our fence goat-proof.
You’ll need a good fence charger. And I mean a GOOD one. Goats are stubborn little critters that love to escape. A strong fence will deter them from trying.
Six or more strands of electric is a must. Goats are good at jumping and climbing, you want a fence that they don’t want to go near.
Always keep a strand low to the ground, especially for younger goats who may try to escape.
Training your goats to the electric fence is important as well.
