Unedited interview with South African film director Ross Devenish. He directed anti-apartheid film adaptations of two Athol Fugard plays, Boesman and Lena and Marigolds in August — the latter starring John Kani. Here, Devenish discusses making films in South Africa, the Broederbond, director Oliver Schmitz's career and more. Part of a series of unedited interviews with South African (and some American) writers, journalists and activists made in the late ‘80s, discussing the subject of censorship, films, journalism and more.
