The first Tarrengower hillclimb was run in 1928 on a dirt track. The hillclimb is the longest recognised in Australia, possibly the southern hemisphere ay 1 mile long (1.6km)
the fastest recorded time is 37.1sec in 1978 by Werner Rodkin
