The goal of having that many layers is to create a jacket that is prepared for any freakish weather event, but is versatile enough to wear on a warm, sunny day. Layer One is made of 500 and 2000D Cordura material that includes the Mega Vent Panel System. This layer has an integrated backpack that has a hydration bladder and can be zipped off. Layer Two has a water resistant Thermolite liner. Layer Three is a hi-viz rain jacket that has a hood and a rubberized aqua barrier and neck gator. This is the jacket for extreme conditions.
