Illinois Fall Trout Opener 2021. Axehead Lake

Описание: This year the trout opener was on a Saturday 10/16/2021. I was lucky to catch a big trout this year. There were a lot of small ones schooling together. Everyone around limiting out using minnows, spinners and trout bait. The big trout caught was given to the the person who helped me net the fish. The Illinois Catchable Trout Program is funded by those who use the program through the sale of Inland Trout Stamps. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) stocks more than 80,000 rainbow trout each year in bodies of water where trout fishing is permitted during the fall season. An additional 80,000 trout are stocked for the spring season which begins each April.
