The biggest barrier I faced beyond infrastructure when learning how to ride a bike for transportation in the winter was keeping my hands warm. I learned proper layering for the rest of my body, but it took some work to find a solution for frozen hands. Fortunately, I found the answer in pogies, or more simply known as handlebar mitts.
In this video, I take you through that journey of experimentation for keeping my hands warm and introduce you to two of my favorite small businesses who make pogies that can be acquired by most anyone, no matter where you live.
