What if you could design an F1 car with no regulations? Former F1 driver and Formula E champion Lucas Di Grassi did exactly that - and the results are remarkable.

His concept uses electric fans to generate constant 1.5 tonnes of downforce at any speed, has half the drag of a modern F1 car, and lapped Monaco 10 seconds faster than Lando Norris's pole time in simulation.

I spoke to Lucas about the engineering behind this unusual machine – combining ground effect, a blown diffuser, and fan-generated suction into one incredibly efficient package. And the best part? It could be built with technology that exists today.
