यूपी के मऊ में बीजेपी और समाजवादी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच भिड़ंत हो गई, मऊ जंक्शन नई ट्रेनों के उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम में एंट्री को लेकर मंत्री एके शर्मा और सपा सांसद राजीव राय के सामने ही हंगामा होने लगा, जिसके बाद वहां काफी देर तक नारेबाजी होती रही, सपा सांसद राजीव राय ने कार्यक्रम के दौरान महिलाओं के अपमान का आरोप लगाया, और मंत्री एके शर्मा से माफी की मांग भी की, इस दौरान पुलिस ने कार्यक्रम के दौरान बवाल और नारेबाजी करके माहौल बिगाड़ने की कोशिश कर रहे कई लोगों को हिरासत में ले लिया


A clash broke out between BJP and Samajwadi Party workers in Mau, UP. A commotion erupted—right in the presence of Minister AK Sharma and SP MP Rajiv Rai—over entry into the inauguration ceremony for new trains at Mau Junction, followed by prolonged sloganeering. SP MP Rajiv Rai alleged that women were insulted during the event and demanded an apology from Minister AK Sharma. Meanwhile, the police detained several individuals who were attempting to disrupt the atmosphere by creating a ruckus and raising slogans during the program.
