Описание: It can be hard to be yourself when you’re under pressure to act a certain way. You may hear many ideas about how “real” boys and girls act. And it can be especially difficult if you don’t fit those standards.

For boys, strict #gender role stereotypes tell them that they should not share any emotions that might make them appear “soft” or “weak.” Some of these gender role stereotypes may tell boys they should want sex all the time or that they should be super competitive with everyone, even if the situation doesn’t call for it. There is nothing wrong with masculinity or manhood. However, strict ideas about how to be a boy or a man can put pressure on boys to be someone other than who they are.
