Описание:
The auxiliary verb “SUGIRU” attaches to the conjunctive form of verbs and adjectives to “TOO MUCH.” By itself, the verb “SUGIRU” means “to exceed, or to go beyond.” The nai-form of verbs and adjectives changes to “nasa” and when attached to SUGIRU, forms -NASASUGIRU to mean “TOO LITTLE.” SUGIRU conjugates like any other verb into its basic 10 verb conjugations as well as forms other modalities, such as the progressive tense, request, prohibition, want to, advice, etc.
Examples:
Even if Keiko eats too much, she doesn’t get fat. 恵子ちゃんは食べすぎても太りません。
Don’t drink too much alcohol. お酒を飲みすぎるな。
Japanese summers are too hot. 日本の夏は暑すぎます。
For me, the countryside is too quiet. 僕には田舎は静かすぎます。
Ms. Tanaka doesn’t eat too much fruit. 田中さんは果物を食べなさすぎます。
