Greenfield, Wisconsin - An officer stopped a vehicle for suspended plates on a mismatched vehicle. The driver, 39-year-old Bennitis Medina was on parole for reckless endangerment and felon in possession of a firearm, with active Cudahy warrants for domestic battery and disorderly conduct. The 2.5-mile pursuit reaches 88 mph through Milwaukee County residential streets; Medina extinguishes lights, runs a red light, and abandons the rolling vehicle by jumping out the driver’s window before a short foot pursuit ends with his surrender, hands raised. The vehicle search uncovers 1.89 grams of cocaine in a corner-cut baggie on the driver’s seat amid $82 cash, 4.47 grams of baking soda (cutting agent) in a coffee filter, and a locked safe with two digital scales indicating drug sales. Medina was booked for fleeing an officer, second-degree reckless endangerment, resisting, and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
