The recent winter storm brought strong and tall waves to the California coast. Conditions were perfect for professional surfers to ride the monster waves produced at Mavericks near Half Moon Bay. “Pretty righteous conditions out there," said Chase LaRue, a pro surfer from Santa Cruz. “The swell started filling in an eventually a nice solid peak came my way, and I stroked into and scored it.” Ryan Curry reports.
