Both double decker buses and single decker coaches are used. It usually takes around 40 minutes to get to the Macau checkpoint from the Hong Kong checkpoint. Those shuttle buses head to the Macau and Taipa Ferry Terminals, where you may change to other free shuttle buses to various casinos.

Taking the HK$18.70 MTR fare and HK$4.80 bus fare into account, I have spent only HK$88.50 to go from Central to Macau. If you would like to go to Macau by bus from Hong Kong, you should expect a journey time of at least 2 hours to get to the Macau checkpoint and have an allowance of at least 30 minutes to get to your final destination in Macau.
