It took some effort to figure out that the fan run timer control board had failed. Replacing it was pretty easy once I had all the parts. While replacing, the capacitor and transformer were replaced - they are pretty low cost and may have been part of the problem, so it was better to replace now than be back replacing an expensive control board again.
The fan is often called the blower motor, or sometimes a squirrel cage motor given the shape.
Having the fun not run, mean the HVAC unit would not heat the house. However, by bypassing the control board so the fan ran continuously, it was able to keep the heat running in the house until repairs were made.
This repair was on a Tempstar furnace. Before finding the problem, I replaced the fried control board. Be sure to watch my other video to find out how to replace that part. It would be ideal to replace all these at the same time.
