How I Create Heatless Waves on My Fine Natural 4a Hair (Curlformers)

Описание: In this tutorial I show you how I use curlformers to create a heatless blow out which I can use as a base for my flat twists. The only two products I use is Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel and my homemade Cupuacu Butter (the less product I use the better - but find what works for YOU).
Because I have low density natural hair I only do two flat twists - if I do any more my hair literally becomes too flat and the waves are too small (so my hair looks even thiner). At night I add a dime sized amount of product to each section before I retwist and secure the ends with perm rods. This style will last a week if retwisted each night; it gets fuller and has more volume as the days go by.

Method::
1. On clean, wet hair apply gel to the hair, followed by a smaller amount of a butter of your choice (you don't want to apply too much gel - you want the hair to still be flexible and light).

2. Insert curlformers to detangled 1-2 inch sections. I use a fine tooth comb (after detangling with a wider tooth comb prior) to make sure each section is as smooth as possible.

3. Leave the hair to dry for at least 4 hours, or you can leave it to dry overnight.

4. Remove each curlformer.

5. Starting from the ends work your way upwards towards the roots and brush out small sections of hair. You want to make sure all the curls are fully brushed out.

6. Make a parting down the centre of the hair. Apply a dime sized amount of either an oil or a butter of your choice to each section (I used the cupuacu butter), then create two flat twists. The reason why I do my parting in the centre for the flat twist is so that when I create a side part on my finished style I have more volume.

7. Secure ends with perm rods, cover with a head scarf and leave to set for an hour (timing may vary but this works for me).

8. Create a side part and pik your hair until you get the desired fullness!
