But tonight, a new, unscheduled target appears in the system—a set of coordinates in a silent, starless void. The observatory's own systems turn against him, printing cryptic warnings and whispering commands through the intercom: "Don't... tune."

A ghostly handprint appears on the inside of a sealed chamber. The telescope begins to move on its own. An intelligent, unseen cosmic entity has breached the facility's firewalls and is now trying to force him to point the massive dish at its location. He must fight a battle of wills against a presence from deep space that is desperate to be seen.
