Brands, or "brand integrity" companies hired by brands, have turned to a very illegal way of trying to keep sellers off of their Amazon listings. If you understand your rights, you will be able to counter this bully tactic.

First of all, ignore any idiot out there that tells you they can get any seller off of a listing on Amazon by simply filing an Intellectual Property (IP) complaint. Most times, those are FALSE complaints, because no IP violation has taken place. They are misusing the system to get a result they want, i.e. unwanted sellers off their listings.

Filing a counter claim with Amazon will generally get your listing reinstated. Amazon sends it to the rights holder, and they have 10 business days to provide Amazon with proof that they are taking further legal action against you. Since they can't win such a claim, they never file it and after those 10 days, Amazon will reinstate your offer.

If more Amazon sellers would simply file the counter claims, these IP violations will be come a thing of the past.
