WHAT IS NAVARATRI ?
Navaratri means 9 Nights (Nava- 9, Ratri - Night). It is an important Indian Festival celebrated across India where we worship the Goddesses - Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. We bow down to the Shakti Mata and seek her blessings. It is also called Dussehra. We decorate the house with lots of dolls, invite people to visit for Golu, offer them prasadam such as Sundal & Sweets. We in turn visit our friends and relatives' houses for their Navaratri, catch up with what's happening in their lives and the conversation brews over coffee, sundal, sweets and much more !
