Founder of Nucleus Coffee Tools and 2015 World Barista Champion, Saša Šestić does a side-by-side comparison of two identical filter coffees – however one is prepared using the Bloom, and one without.
Using the Needles functions of the Bloom (Straight setting to evenly mix the grinds, and Fan setting to lift non-soluble materials like chaff), as well as the Bloom's FlowTip to create an indentation for directional water flow and consistency, Saša prepares the two brews and compares the extracted grinds, the brewing times, and the flavours of each brew.
