The XPressEntry software application has two components: the XPressEntry Server and the XPressEntry handheld reader application.

XPressEntry maintains real-time facility occupancy information and up-to-date employee pictures, permissions, and activity through these integrations this integration. XPressEntry records each and every activity occurring on any handheld device and pushes this information to the access control database.

XPressEntry simultaneously pulls any new activity from the access control database and pushes this information to all connected handheld devices. Because each handheld reader stores a real-time copy of the facility occupancy database on its internal storage, it can be used both online and offline.
