Teen kills grandparents, six others in Thailand school shooting

Описание: A teenager killed his grandparents before storming a school in Thailand’s Nonthaburi province, shooting dead three teachers and three students. Police said he used his grandfather’s handgun in the attack.

Dozens of officers and emergency responders rushed to Debsirin Nonthaburi School, where parents waited anxiously and students fled in fear. Fifteen were injured while trying to escape, with police later confirming 23 wounded in total.

The shooter, identified as a student of the school, died during the incident. Local reports differed on whether he was shot by police or died by suicide.

Witnesses described him as troubled, with an interest in guns and the FBI. Photos showed him in a purple school uniform carrying a cross‑body bag.

Mental health workers were deployed, and Education Minister Prasert Jantararuangtong pledged tighter security at schools. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul called the shooting a terrible incident that should never have happened.
