Panamint Valley Geoglyph Site 1
A Ceremonial Site
This a compartmentalize geoglyph. The overall length of the site is approximately 130’ and the overall width of the site is approximately 116’. The rocks that make up the geoglyph average in size from 3” to 7” with an occasional larger stone.
There is also a well-worn wagon trail running through the middle of the site (this has been verified). The trail is approximately 10’ in width. The wagon trail may have used for travel or for hauling minerals from the mines in the mid 1800’s.
No matter how you view the “trail” vs the ancient geoglyph this is an incredible site.
