Check the machine's environment. The recommended environment for the machine is a temperature of 50 to 90.5° F and 20% - 80% humidity without condensation. High temperatures and high humidity can increase the amount of background shading.

4. Print quality may vary according to the type of paper you're using. You can use the following types of print media:

Thin paper (16 - 20 lb)

Plain paper (20 - 28 lb)

Thick paper (28 - 43 lb)

Bond paper

Recycled paper

Labels

Envelopes

Be sure you're using media specifically marked for use in a laser printer. Media that is intended for use in an inkjet printer can cause print quality issues.
