How To Use Your Whale heating Duo Control Panel. Your Swift Basecamp is fitted with Whale’s Space Saving Gas and Electric Space and Water Heating.

Frost Protection
The Space Heater is fitted with Frost Protection to warm the vehicle and prevent damage to the heating and water systems that may be caused by cold temperatures.

To activate Frost Protection, press until the yellow indicator on the temperature gauge is above the frost protection icon.

Note: Frost protection setting requires a power source to be connected. It will run on electric if mains power is connected, or on gas if mains power is not connected.

Trouble Shooting:
Your Whale Heating System is fitted with an electronic diagnostic system which will detect fault conditions ranging from poor gas or d.c. supply to internal heater malfunctions. In the unlikely event of a failure, the diagnostic LED ‘!’ will light red.

To identify the fault - Press and hold for Space Heater, - Press and hold for Water Heater. The number of bars that light on the temperature gauge indicates the fault code.

To clear the fault code turn the d.c. power ‘Off’ and then ‘On’ again at the Master Switch in the vehicle. If this is unsuccessful you must press the red reset button located on the Space or Water Heater, as shown in your Vehicle Handbook.

Wait for the fan to stop before cycling the power to prevent an overheat lockout.

Using Swift Command:
To use Swift Command ensure that the Duo Control water and air heat settings are BOTH in the ‘OFF’ position. Then follow instructions on Swift Command.
