I think the late 60s M55E is a nice option for the PE and most other ancient stereo tables with medium heavy arms (Dual 1009 & 1019 and the older Elac and Lenco idler tables).
This thing truly kicks a.... ;-) still sounding very nice wide staged and open. M55/M44 was the late 60s sucessor of the ´62 M33 and I think the sound was just right. I wonder how the first V15 Mk1 would sound on the PE, that V15 Mk1 came in the same year as M55. (1967)
