The Drone Duo is an innovative project born from the collaboration of the Dutch Organist Jochem Schuurman and the Italian Guitarist Luca Brembilla both Master Students at the Prince Claus Conservatoire of Groningen.

This unusual formation brings together and mixes harmonically some typical features of the classic and the contemporary music tradition. The combination of the pipe organ, played in his natural place: the church, with the electric guitar and FX (effects) contributes to create some really suggestive and fascinating atmospheres.

Their concept concert spaces from a gentle romantic until a more modern approach to the sound material. The re-interpretation of some great pieces from the last centuries leaves at the same time space to improvisation and experimentation.
