SEGA Megadrive Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco Grand Prix 2 - Arcade Mode and Full World Championship

But for me, SEGA was responsible for kick-starting my love affair with motor racing and driving games. No game developer produced a wider variety of driving games than SEGA. F1, Ralling, Nascar, Indy Car, Touring Cars, GT Cars, Le Mans Prototypes, Street Racing, Super Bikes, Motorcross, Hot Rods....even a crazy taxi or two.

For this video I'm looking at Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco Grand Prix 2 on the SEGA Megadrive / Genesis. The sequel to the first game I ever bought on the Megadrive, it came out in 1993 and was very similar to the previous game, only this time we were racing against the legend himself. I felt like doing a complete run through of the full game for the first time in 30 years and this was a great excuse. I complete the three arcade tracks first (Senna Mode), and then do both seasons of the full Master's world championship mode. I show you all my successes and failures.

I'm not expecting anyone to sit through all of this, it's just a retro-look at how we raced back in the early 1990's. I'll put chapter points along the bottom to jump around at your leisure.
