Railfanning the CN and NS at Tolono, IL w IC SD70s and more 01/17/26

Описание: I decided to go to Tolono, IL at the junction of the CN Champaign sub and NS Lafayette District for much of the day and overall the action was decent minus a couple dead periods. Both the CN A407 and A408 had IC SD70 leaders plus a Northbound CN mixed manifest had a UP SD70ACe leader. The CN seems to have the most variety at least in power and the different trains that run on this line. Besides the usual manifest action there was a oil train and a coke train. The Southbound Amtrak Saluki was canceled due to equipment issues which isn't a surprise anymore sadly. On the Norfolk Southern side there were a few manifests plus a grain train and two intermodals (251/252 formerly 255 and 256 which were the triple crown roadrailers). Both lines are mainly single tracked with sidings with the CN having one just south of the diamond and the NS at the diamond. Enjoy and don't forget to comment and subscribe!!!
