I came from a small town in a state without a vet school and the overwhelming reply I got when I said I wanted to be a vet was:
getting in is nearly impossible and you should pursue something else. Or at least have a back up plan.

Most people in my school who were pre-vet changed their major by the end of their undergraduate degree.
And sadly, I think part of that was external pressure.

Is it hard? For sure!
Only 10-15% of vet school applicants get in each year.
.
Compare this to ~40% of human medical school applicants are accepted each year.

But it IS possible!

I hope this reaches someone who needs to hear it.
